Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2017
Modix, our partners and our clients awarded and recognised
What a fantastic night it was at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards this week held at The Brewery in London and presented by Mike Brewer. Modix were in attendance along with 100’s of our fellow motor trade professionals for what was a great celebration of another fantastic year for our industry.
Car Dealers’ very own James Baggott opened the show and reflected on what he termed ‘a rather interesting year for the car industry’, with some experts predicting ‘a flat, stable used car market for the foreseeable future’, magazine publisher James Baggott said: ‘Despite the swirling negativity, things aren’t all that bad in the used car market.’
Modix were proud to co-sponsor one of the awards on the night, the Manufacturer Used Car Scheme of the Year, that was won by Kia Motors UK in a keenly contested category, with Ford UK and Jaguar Cars Highly Commended.
Darren Sinclair, Managing Director of Modix UK, who co-presented the award on the night said “Congratulations to Kia Motors UK, and to all the winners on the night, very well deserved. The Used Car Awards were a fantastic showcase of everything good about the industry from product innovation to technology, and a celebration of the best people and businesses in the UK, and we were delighted to be part of it.”
Notable highlights on the night for Modix clients were Marshall Motor Group who won both the Social Media User of the Year and the Used Car Dealership Group of the Year, and Volkswagen UK were Highly Commended in the Manufacturer Used Car Website of the Year category.
One other highlight that gave Modix another reason to celebrate on the night was GardX, our partner for the innovative new Modix 360 imagery product, who took the Used Car Product of the Year award for the 360 imagery technology. What a fantastic achievement and testament to a great product. Congratulations !
The most emotional award of the evening was for Geoff Snow, the founder of Snows Group, who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. He has left a legacy in the industry with 35 dealerships now carrying his name. Sadly he passed away at the age of 85 in August, but his son Stephen collected the posthumous award on his behalf.
Congratulations to all winners and nominees, and we look forward to even bigger and better 2018.
